Broughton Pergola

BACKGROUND

Our client was in the process of completing two new build detached houses and gardens. Within the garden design they desired an outdoor living space that would function throughout the year complementing the ever-changing weather in the U.K.

The designated patio space was to include an outdoor kitchen and seating area. Access to the patio was via composite decking to two aspects with the opposite aspect having large timber retaining walls.

The client required dual access to the patio space with options to segregate each individually. The rear aspects to have fixed ‘walls’ to compliment the pergola frame colour and the timber retaining wall. The pergola colour was to match the house window frames.

HOW WE MET THE BRIEF

Our bespoke automated B200XL aluminium pergola was the ideal choice for the patio. The opening louvred roof with integrated LED lighting allowing the sun in (or shade) during the day with the dimmable LED lighting creating a lovely ambience as the sunsets.

To provide the dual access points we added door legs and four dwarf walls to frame the entrances. We sourced 200mm tongue and groove aluminium panels to create the walls, the rear being in Savanna Oak and the front to match the pergola frame.

Automated screens were installed on the front aspects; each can be operated individually or grouped to allow multiple variations of shading as required. We programmed the remote to provide both individual and grouped options for the roof, LEDs and screens as per the client’s requirements.

Our pergola install fully met the clients brief; it is an integral element of the garden design providing the ideal space for the ‘Outdoor Living’ experience.
